is there a way to remove the goofy looking dragon and other shit. I like these cars but i dislike those massive ass props that come with them. it takes away from the immersion at a car meet when some guy rolls up in a car thats got a fucking dragon floating behind the back as if it were attached

You'd probably have to unlock the model/edit it in Zmodeler3 to remove it manually yourself. I'd do the same if I knew how to. I despise it as much as you.
