Spoiler: explanation

What you need:

• Texture Toolkit (tool for editing .dds textures)
• fivem_flag_template (template for the texture)

Step 1: Export texture

1. Open the .yft file in the Texture Toolkit.
2. Go to EDIT → EXPORT/EXPORT ALL.
3. Select the dds and edit it with e.g. Paint.Net. (this supports dds)

Step 2: Import texture again

1. Go to EDIT → IMPORT in the Texture Toolkit. (must be the same dds file)
2. Select your edited DDS file.
3. Save the .dds file (the tool does this automatically).

Step 3: Paste into FiveM

1. Copy the edited .yft file back into your FiveM resources folder.
2. restart your server

it can be the first time after the server restart and you are right next to the flag that your game crashes
