NaturalVision Evolved (NVE) is a work-in-progress visual overhaul mod that is currently in the early access stage. Numerous changes were made to the environmental weathers, lighting system, ambient colors, tonemapping, world textures, building models, props, vegetation and much more in order to blur the line between fantasy and reality.

The goal was to try and make GTAV look visually similar to Southern California in real life. In order to achieve this, research on the Los Angeles (Los Santos) and Salton Sea (Sandy Shores) regions was conducted using hundreds of photos and hours upon hours of video footage. All of this was necessary in an attempt to produce the most realistic visual experience currently possible with GTAV's limited game engine.

Update Notes

March 4th, 2024

• Fully reworked Cloudy weather lighting, ambient, sky and fog colors
• Completely reworked Volumetric Clouds with improved noise, detail, shading, colors, performance and much more. Volumetric Clouds are now part of the main mod package in Single Player and FiveM
• Added an option to toggle Volumetric Clouds in Extrasunny weather within the ReShade NVE Clouds menu. The NVE.asi plugin was updated to reflect this change
• Added a new optional add-on called the "Spring Season Pack" which modifies vegetation across the map for the Spring season
• Added high-quality textures to the pavement, grass, rocks and much more at the skatepark in Little Seoul. Part of the "Extra Content Pack" for Platinum Supporters
• Adjusted motion blur default settings within the ReShade NVE Graphics menu. Now comes with presets to adjust quality
• Fixed a bug with the "Realistic License Plates" add-on for FiveM
• Fixed an issue with reflections around Sandy Shores during certain hours
• Misc. bug fixes and tweaks
